Ministry of Agriculture of Russian Federation

The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation is a federal executive authority responsible for the development of state policy and regulatory regulation in the field of agro-industrial complex, the market of agricultural products, raw materials and food, food and processing industry, sustainable development of rural areas, as well as land relations in terms of agricultural land. The main purpose of the Eurasian Economic Commission - ensuring the conditions for the functioning and development of the EAEU, developing proposals for further development of integration. 

Currently, five countries are represented in the EEC: the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation. The EEC has the status of a supranational governing body and in its activities is guided by the interests of the participating countries of the Eurasian economic integration project as a whole, without motivating its decisions by the interest of any of the national governments. The Commission's decisions are binding on the territory of the EAEU member States.

The most important feature of the Commission is that all decisions taken are based on a collegial basis. The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission consists of 10 members (2 Members of the Board (Minister) of the Commission from each participating country), one of whom is the Chairman of the Board of the Commission.

The main objectives of the Association are to participate in the development and implementation of programs for the development of the oil and fat complex of the Eurasian Economic Union. Preparation of proposals for the introduction of legislative and other regulatory acts in accordance with the established procedure aimed at protecting the rights and interests of producers of fat and oil products.Assistance in the development of integration ties and intersectoral cooperation of the Association's member enterprises with enterprises of the EAEU member states, the CIS and other countries.

The Association's activities contribute to the technical re-equipment of the association's member enterprises, the preservation and improvement of production and technological ties between the association's members and other participants in the fat and oil products market, and the solution of tasks set out in the Food Safety Doctrine.
